This is one of our size 58 Helical Bevel Geared Motors with a 40mm diameter hollow output shaft, fitted with a 2.2Kw 4 pole TEC Electric Motor.
It will be replacing a close coupled unit which failed overnight at a recycling plant.
As the original motor had a shaft machined to suit a pinion the only option was an expensive replacement from the manufacturer or an equally expensive overnight rewind.
The best option in this instance was one of our units with a standard IEC motor input.
This means that the motor can be replaced cost effectively, without loss of lubricant in a little under 10 minutes (4 bolts!)
When you factor in downtime, this really is a “no brainer”.
