As you can probably imagine, a plant room full of hot water pumps gets very warm indeed.
This particular plant room had an ambient of just under 39 degrees.
The fan currently installed ( a single phase plate fan)
It was pushing cool outside air into the building at 1000 rpm (6 pole).
This solution was not very effective.
The access door to the building is vented so we decided the best course of action here would be to extract the warm air and pull in cool air in via the door vents.
The speed of the fan was also increased from 1000 rpm to 1400 rpm.
The result was immediate, after several minutes of running the ambient temperature fell very quickly.
